If the total on your budget is too high, there are a few possible causes:
Are the actuals you entered simply too high? It is possible that the actual costs you entered add up to more than you planned to spend when you created your budget.
It is possible you may have entered a total cost when you needed to enter a cost per head. For instance, the Food & Service category under Reception requires that you enter a cost per head. If you enter a total cost for that category, the budgeter will multiply that cost by the number of guests and completely throw off your final total. You can tell which items require costs per head because they display an equation in the ESTIMATE column.
You may need to remove budget items that are not relevant to your wedding. To remove an item, uncheck the box to the left of the item and click the UPDATE button.
