Wedding Receiving Line: What Do Wedding Guests Say?

I am a very confused soon-to-be wedding guest. My knowledge of wedding etiquette is limited. What am I supposed to say to the bride and groom in the wedding receiving line besides congratulations?

Don't worry: That receiving line is going to move so fast you won't have time to say much more than congratulations. If you do end up with some spare time, hug and kiss the bride, shake the groom's hand, tell them how great they look, and -- more importantly -- thank them for inviting you. If you don't know a person in the line (the bride or groom, her mom, his dad, whomever), introduce yourself and state your relation to the newlyweds. That's it!
