Q.
I have heard there is an address where I can send the President a wedding invitation. Do you know what it is?
A.
Here’s what you’re looking for:
The President & Mrs. Bush
The White House
Greetings Office, Room 39
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20502
You will receive a pre-printed card with the signatures of the President and First Lady -- which makes a wonderful keepsake.

Why do you have to send it AFTER the event?

Don't forget, now it's Mrs. Obama not Mrs Bush!

nkmr, the appeal is simply this: how many people do you know who have received a greeting card from the White House?

Maybe I just don't get it, but can someone explain to me the appeal of this?

Note that you are supposed to send the First Couple their invitation _after_ the event and that you must be a United States citizen.
