Something to Drink

The must-have: Throw in a water bottle or two and save your guests from shelling out extra cash at the hotel gift shop. Yeah, we know it’s obvious, but it’s also a convenient opportunity to show off your wedding colors, motif and monogram. "A welcome bag is similar to stationery -- it’s all a preview to the day," says DM Events planner Melina Dreyfuss. “If you’re going to add a label to the water bottle, it should certainly be something that goes along with the theme of what you’ve already done and will do."
The twist: Swap the water for a beverage that speaks directly to your wedding. "I once had an Indian wedding where the couple substituted spring water for coconut water," says Stephanie Frazier Grimm of Couture Wedding Design.
