EXPERT DESTINATION WEDDING ADVICE

Whether you’re tying the knot in Brazil, Bermuda, or Boston, JoAnn Gregoli, who’s been planning destination weddings for 10 years, has the answer. A Master Bridal Consultant (one of only 16 in the world), she’s coordinated weddings for stars of all stripes, from Rupert Murdoch’s daughter to NFL players and Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn DiScala.

Destination Weddings: Risk Bad Weather?

Q.

My location has a high and low season, and we'd really like to take advantage of the great deals during the low season. But are the savings worth the possibility of bad weather?

A.

The answer is an unequivocal no! Though prices may be reduced significantly -- ignore them. Weather during the low season is unpredictable: hurricane season in the Caribbean is especially infamous and an imminent storm could easily result in a cancellation of the festivities altogether. Wedding plans may be safer towards the tail end of the season, but in general, don't risk it.
