Jackie's Secrets to Getting in Wedding Shape:
1. Plan Your Meals
"I am known as the 'Tupperware Queen' in my office! I go grocery shopping on Sundays, and then I clean all my fruits and vegetables, and package them in Tupperware for the week so it's easy to grab and go in the morning. That way, I have a healthy snack instead of raiding the vending machines! It's all about portion control."
2. Curb the Cravings
"Kicking my sweet tooth will never happen, but I've learned how to curb the crazy cravings! I'm a big fan of frozen banana bites; they're vegan/organic chocolate-and-peanut-butter-covered frozen slices of banana. When I'm thinking of devouring a Snickers, I eat a couple 'bites' instead. They're filling since they're frozen, and they always satisfy my sweet tooth in the healthiest way possible!"
3. Set Reasonable Goals
"There are two things that are a must: First, set reasonable goals and know that anything that's good will not happen overnight. I wanted to lose 40 pounds by the wedding, so I gave myself a little over a year to do that. I ended up losing 50 pounds, but never more than 6 pounds a month. Yes, some months were stagnant, but I just never gave up. I couldn't quit -- I truly needed this change, which is where the second part comes in: accountability! I'm beyond grateful for my Bridalicious trainer Doug Rice and all the girls involved with boot camp. They are by far the best support system out there. They always offered encouraging words and had the best healthy recipe tips!"
