The Fit Bride
I'm Brie, and my fiance, Tim, and I are planning a classic, spring-inspired Chicago wedding on May 8, 2010. Last year, I lost 50 pounds, and now I'm struggling to keep it off and look great for our wedding day! Follow me as I attempt to balance a travel-heavy job, life in a new city, two high-maintenance cats, late-night workouts, a plethora of food choices, an overeager beagle, and a half-marathon dream with the stress of long-distance wedding planning!

Bride on a Budget
My name is Ashley and I'm a 20-something English undergraduate from Tallahassee, Florida. My fiance and I are planning a March 27 wedding on a $7,000 budget! I love Florida State football, shopping, and, of course, wedding planning.

The City Bride
I'm Kate, and I'm getting married April 10, 2010. My fiance, Marc, and I are planning a modest, fun wedding at our New York City church; a traditional Lutheran service followed by a dessert reception. We're thrilled to have an excuse to bring our out-of-town family and friends to the big city. We're creative, thrifty, and hope to come out more on the "chic" side of "shabby chic." We can't wait to get married and make my Chihuahua and Marc's cat sisters.

The DIY Bride
My name is Misty and I'm planning a casual, DIY wedding for May 22, 2010, in western North Carolina. I'm doing all this wedding planning while being a full-time student, working full time, and coaching basketball. I enjoy searching out anything that I can DIY for the wedding. The one thing that I haven't enjoyed about wedding planning is the guest list!

Reception Venue Layout

I figured that it would make my life easier if I did a layout for our reception hall.  I have to give the site coordinator a layout of how I want the tables and I have a bunch of people helping set up, so I figured I'd streamline it into one layout for everyone.I think I have everything included...read more

Dress Alterations

Well, I finally took me dress in to start the alterations.  I'm using Hayley Lauren Couture here in Tallahassee.  She said it should be ready in two weeks, so I can come in for my second fitting.  I'm going to try and schedule it on the same day as my hair trial so I can see how the two...read more

Away we go!

Invites are going out this week. I've been taking them to the mailbox in batches- mainly because I didn't think I could do all 150 at once without dropping some of them on the ground. Two months to go! I've never understood the wide range of proposed timelines for sending out wedding invitations....read more

Invitations

I made two COMPLETE invitations tonight!Hobby Lobby only had 49 sheets of the chocolate brown paper I need to layer my invites, so I bought what they had and placed a special order for the rest. I printed the lines to cut by on the paper I had and started cutting. I wanted to make sure, before I printed...read more
