How did they get engaged?
Chris and Jackie met at a charity ski race event in Park City, Utah. After almost a decade of dating, Chris planned a proposal for Jackie on her birthday. "The proposal involved a lighthouse, waves crashing, and the setting sun glistening atop the water." Jackie says. "Yeats was quoted liberally. Any sane woman would have said 'yes!'"The Bride

What was the ceremony like?
Chris and Jackie invited their closest friends and family to their at-home wedding ceremony, which took place in the couple's backyard overlooking the Connecticut River. There really was no distinct color scheme -- an abundance of vibrant wildflowers surrounded the locale.
What did they wear?
Jackie wore a simple, floor-length, matte satin gown with a boat neckline and a long train. She accessorized with opera-length gloves and a long veil. Chris sported a classic black tuxedo.
Any standout details?
As a surprise, Chris arranged for Jackie and her father to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage, the same one that once carried Abraham Lincoln.
Dinner and dancing were held at the Dodds' home after the ceremony. A live band entertained the group, and Jackie and Chris had their first dance as newlyweds to Ella Fitzgerald's "Someone to Watch Over Me." At the end of the evening, the couple cut into a three-tiered white cake decorated with fresh red rose petals.
Because many relatives had traveled to be with them, Chris and Jackie didn't leave right away for their honeymoon. Later, the two celebrated and spent time in Connemara, Ireland.
