Venue: Army Navy Country Club
Q: How would you describe the overall style you were going for?
I was going for a vintage look that was classic, relaxed, and fun. I knew I wanted to be different and not be the typical bride while staying true to myself and Brandon at the same time.
Q: And you grew out your hair for a specific look?
I have always had short hair, so I grew my hair out for a year before the big day. After looking at pictures online and in magazines, I picked a low chignon with a bit of height.
Q: Did you accessorize the style?
My wedding veil was probably my most favorite accessory. I wore a birdcage veil with a flower in my hair to complement the vintage look.
Q: Tell us about those fabulous shoes!
I wanted to buy something fun (preferably pink) and not the traditional white bridal shoe. The color and style were exactly what I pictured, and, they were comfortable. They ended up being such a hit -- people loved my shoes!

Q: Tell us how you created your style.
We were aiming for a romantic, elegant, garden- style feel, with vintage eclectic details.
Q: And you incorporated your cultures?
It was very important to us that we integrate Ruben's Mexican heritage with my background, rooted in Jewish traditions. We incorporated the Mexican lasso ceremony and stood under the Huppah. Our Rabbi led the ceremony in English, Hebrew and Spanish. We also had a Mariachi band and danced the Hora.
Q: Your dress was lovely. Tell us about the style?
The gown was a mermaid, or fit-to-flare style strapless gown. Both the top and bottom of the dress had scalloped lace.
Q: With your style down, how did you choose the bridal party dresses?
The gowns were black strapless with lace and chiffon. The lace was scalloped around the neckline, similar to my gown.

Venue: Oak Ridge Estate
Q: What inspired your style?
I was looking for a dress with texture using romantic fabric like lace yet still form fitting and showing "just enough" skin. My dream dress and look was Jessica Simpson in her Vera Wang dress.
Q: Tell us what you did with your hair?
It was flowy with loose curls to fit a romantic outdoor wedding. Overall my hair was very simple and natural.
Q: Sounds perfect. Any beauty items you couldn't have lived without?
I asked my photographer, Allegra with Allegra's Studio, what she recommended her brides do and what looks best in photographs. She suggests brides wear fake eyelashes and I completely agree. They make such an impact, but make sure to test them before hand!
